Amazing Grace
Friends and neighbors have you ever stop to think about the Amazing
Grace of God? The word grace is found 170 times in the Holy Bible and one of
the meanings of the word grace according to Webster Dictionary is:
“Appropriately, the free unmerited love and favor of God, the spring and source
of all the benefits men receive from him.” In Ephesians 2:5 Even
when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye
are saved;) and Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and
that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man
should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good
works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
The grace
of God that brings salvation appears to everyone. Titus 2:11-13 For the
grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us
that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly,
righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope,
and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
The grace of God is accessible to everyone. Romans 5:2 By whom also we
have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of
the glory of God.
Therefore everyone can benefit from the Amazing Grace of
God. Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that
we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
The grace of God is sufficient to help us in the times we need God’s help. 2
Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is
sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most
gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of
Christ may rest upon me.
The grace of God brings redemption. Ephesians 1:6-7 To the praise of the glory
of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have
redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches
of his grace;
In conclusion: We know that the grace of God brings us
hope and eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord Titus 3:7 That
being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of
eternal life. 1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us
unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while,
make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. Revelation
22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
